Lukas’s new Qvia AR790 WD has just been released, which is their most discreet front and rear system to date. With the front camera at approximately 10.5cm in length and the rear camera only 5cm the AR790 is designed to sit as close to the windscreen as possible, neatly behind your rear-view mirror to not obstruct you or your passengers view of the road ahead.
A manual record button is present on this camera which enables you to save the footage in a different section of the memory to ensure that the incident does not get overwritten. This can be useful if you witness any incidents on the road that you’re not directly involved in or that the G-sensor may not pick up, such as road rage or examples of dangerous driving.
The AR790 will also record whilst the vehicle is stationary. The camera automatically changes to this mode after detecting no movement for a short time. The hard-wire kit instead of a cigarette adapter is needed for parking mode to be used. This means that the camera is connected to your vehicles electrics and allows for the cables to be hidden from sight. The camera features an inbuilt voltage cut-off to prevent your battery from being drained completely.
The Lukas AR790 also features advanced warning systems. It has Front Vehicle Start Alarm (FVSA), Lane Departure Warning systems (LDWS) and forward collision warning system (FCWS). When one of these systems is triggered you will be given an audible warning to alert you to what is happening.
